Ultrasound Pictures

This is the first picture of the baby that gave us all a scare.
You can click on any of the pictures and you can see them in more detail.
The baby is the in the middle, the head is on the right side. Notice the black
circle in the head. That is the mass that was causing all the concern.
The circle at the very right is the yoke. The baby is sustained on that for 12 weeks, and
then moves to the placenta. Just some random info for ya!

This was the baby at 12 weeks. Again click on the picture to see it in more detail.
You can see the arm and leg buds. The baby was really active during these pictures, which
was fitting, because we were told the baby was healthy and fine! What a day of celebration!

These are the baby at 15 weeks!
You can see the spine, arms and the back of the head. THe baby's
feet were tucked under his/her trunk.

Doctor Visit

The family (Ryan, haylee and I) went to the OB doctor today thinking it was just another routine visit. We heard the baby's heart beat, 146 beats per minute, which is much lower than any of Haylee's. So if you believe in those gender myths it says that if the heart beat is slower it means it's a boy. Also found out that I' m actually 15 weeks, and not 14 like I thought. So some where I missed a week, I guess that happens when your busy with school and a toddler!

At check out we were told we had to get another ultrasound, because they needed to see if their was fulid at the back of the baby's brain, another indicator of Downs or other deficits . So we waited for an hour and finally got in to see that the baby's brain/head was fine. However, it was determined that my placenta previa is a full coverage and not partial. The odds are still good it will go away on it's own.

The baby had more pictures taken, and if my scanner was working I would show you all of them up to date. This time the baby was facing my back, as if to say "I'm tired of taking pictures, just leave me alone." These of course are my same sentiments! I think this is the most documented baby ever!! No worries about taking pictures of the pregnancy from the outside, we will have several of him/her from the inside!
We expect to have at least 2 more ultrasounds, and at $312 out of pocket because we don't have maternity coverage, it's going to be a really tight budget!

To sum up the baby is still ok! I have the next ultrasound at 20 weeks. At that point we will determine the gender, and if the baby is still healthy!

So until then, blessings to all!

Second Trimester is Here!

Doesn't look like much, but there is a baby the size of a jumbo shrimp in there! That's at 13 weeks. I'm currently 14 weeks, and feeling great. The morning sickness was not bad at all this time. I only got sick a couple of times and only lost 3 pounds (due to stress) as oppose
to 8 pounds that I lost with Haylee due to sickness!
I have a little belly, but if you didn't know me you wouldn't be able to tell. I can feel little kicks, but can't always tell if it's that or bubbles in my belly. Although I did feel the baby move or roll.
It's the oddest sensation. If you haven't been pregnant it's hard to understand; but it feels like all the fluid rotates like in a washing machine at once, and in the same moment it stops.
I have an appointment this week with my doctor, nothing big, I may be able to hear the heart beat. We won't know if it's a boy or girl for a couple more months, but we are struggling with Boys names. Please send me some ideas, that's how I got Haylee's name,
through people's baby name list! Oh, and just know that the middle name has to be LEE,
it's a clingenpeel male tradition.
No worries about documenting this pregnancy. Ryan isn't allowed near the camera until I have downloaded the pictures. For those who don't know, we give Ryan a hard time because he accidentlly erased all of the pregnancy pictures. I think we found 3 pictures available from different people of the pregnancy with Haylee. But no hard feelings, it's not like it happened a second time with something just as important, like our wedding!! Oh yeah, that's right, he erased the wedding pictures too! He just can't win can he!! :)

Fall Fun!

We went to Helgers Farms to experience some fall fun!
Though the farm wasn't offically open, we just walked around
and saw what they had. We are planning to go back when
it's open so we can do the hay ride, and other activities!

Cousin Pete's Wedding

My cousin Pete got married, so we were all there to celebrate!
"All" to mean, all but Haylee. She was with Luke and Nicole. And I have to
say that when I dropped her off, I got a wave, and that's it.
Not that I want her to be sad and cry, but then again where's the emotion?
Her rock is leaving and all she gives is a wave and a "bye dada." (Because again
she refuses to say mama!) My child is a character, that is for sure. I wouldn't have it
any other way! Now as for the wedding...
The reception was held at Mediah Country Club. So it was amazing!

Colin and Rachel

Mom and Ray

Dad and Gale
My dad's whole side of the family was there. It was so good to see everyone.
And I got to dress up, which doesn't happen often. It was fun!

Cuddle time

Haylee is not a cuddler. So the only time she will sit still long
enough, or rest on mama is when she is sick or tired.
I had to take advantage of the moment and snuggle while
she was tired. And we had to document it just because
it doesn't happen that often. Although, she is getting into that
stage where daddy is the king of the world. So she will cuddle with
him and give him kisses. I'll take what I can get!

Sitting in Style!

Every big girl needs their own chair!
Haylee loves to sit on things, her drum, the coffee table,
her books, Belly, etc. So we thought she could use her
own chair! And it even reclines!

The Big game

Every year Joe and Ryan go to the Michigan, Notre Dame game.
This year however, they had to stay home and watch it
on TV like the rest of us. So we had a party.
Luke, Nicole and I sporting the team colors~

Blurry, but you get the idea

Joe, the one Michigan fan in the house.

Even dad and gale came up. Haylee is wearing her Notre Dame
cheerleader outfit!

Here are the women who don't really care who wins!
Although julie would prefer it if michigan won,
just so she didn't have to deal with Joe being grumpy
on the way home!

Ryan making lunch. His philosophy is the more smoke, better the meal!

We won't get into the details of who won and lost, that's just trivial compared
to the joy of having friends over!! :) (Yea right, we'll get 'em next year)

Grandpa Jerry visits!

Ryan's dad Jerry, and his wife Elena came out to visit.
This was the first time he had seen Haylee!
It was a very busy weekend, and one of the activities
was the zoo. This year Haylee was a little more into it.
However, she thought that every animal was a "doggie!"

She loved the seals, and they seemed interested in her.
This is her knocking on the widow and waving!

She wanted to walk everywhere, because she's a big girl now!

Haylee wasn't a fan of this activity

After a long day at the zoo, Haylee cashed out!
