Lazy days of summer

We all love being outside, so my three girls gathered on the blanket!

It was too bright for Sophie to keep her eyes open, well at least she could still smile!

And also be silly!

Haylee likes the flowers, and thought she would share with Sophie

I guess Haylee thought the best place for Sophie to keep the flower was on her forehead!
Haylee also wanted to share her sunglasses. I stopped her at first, but then decided it was actually really cute.

You can tell Haylee really does like her baby sister. They are really cute together!

Moving on from the Pumps!

You can't really tell by the picture, because everytime she would display the action we wanted to capture, it was too late to take the picture. So to describe what she was doing you have to think back to the previous post with the breast pumps that she was trying to use. Well apparently she was just tried of pumping and was trying to go al'natural'...if you know what I mean??!!
Well at least she will have the basis skills for breast feeding in the future...hopefully the VERY distant future!!

Birthday Cookout!

To celebrate my birthday we had a few of our friends and neighbors over for a cookout!
It was really fun and intimate. We played games, ate great food cooked by my wonderful husband, and had a blast telling stories around the fire pit! It was a good time for all~

That's right, I'm 27 now! Getting closer to 30 everyday!
Corn-hole, an amazing cookout game!

We were already good friends with our next door neighbors, but recently we had a new addition on the block, and we all instantly bonded with the new family. So it was really cool having them over to get to know them better!

Courtney took up her regular position as baby holder! :)
Sophia of course loved the attention!

Haylee loved playing with the Basketball, so Ryan was trying to teach her how to play~

Ryan helping her dunk it!

Looking Cool

Looking cool with our blue flowers and sunglasses!

We had a Hawaiian Themed party to go to,

so what you can't see is Haylee had a great pink grass skirt on!

Planting Flowers

Haylee being the ultimate helper that she is, wanted to help daddy plant his flowers. She did really good, until later when all the flowers were planted she pulled them out of the ground, placed them back in the plastic container, handed it to Ryan and said "better?" Apparently she did this a couple of times before Ryan decided it was time for Haylee to help me in the house!

My Beautiful Babies

Jen Lessing told me about a new photography studio with a great deal. So she and I went with our babies, and had their pictures taken. They did such a good job, so of course I spent a WHOLE lot more money than I intended. They took 98 photos to choose from and I only picked 5 poses, so I think I did pretty darn good! :) It's hard saying no to pictures of your kids~ they just look so cute! I was really impressed they got any pictures of Haylee smiling, she wasn't excited with the guy holding the duck quacking at her. But she was really eager to get Sophie to smile. They both did really well, Sophie was alert the whole time, and Haylee allowed us brief moments of compliance which resulted in some really cute pics.

New Friends

Jen Lessing brought her son Brennon for a playdate! She and I have been friends for over 6 years~crazy to think it's been that long. We lived together, sang together in ministry, and then we were pregnant at the same time! Brennon is 3 months now. We will have a lot of fun telling our kids stories from the "glory days!"

They look like they are smiling!

Now they looked scared. Jen and I were both taking pictures,

that would probably freak me out too

I think they were blinded by the lights!

Cookie for Mommy!

Haylee has become really good at getting me things I need, (ie diapers for sophie, burp cloth, etc). I thought one night I would try to see if she could tell Ryan in the other room to get me a cookie. So she got up and went to ryan in the kitchen and said "Dookie." Ryan gave her a cookie and continued to stand there saying "Dookie, Mommy." Ryan soon figured it out and gave her an additional cookie. Now everytime she gets anything like a cookie, cracker, and even blueberries, she gets one for herself and one for her mommy! The video is obviously a set up, but it shows how she does it! She's so sweet!

Dancin' to the Stones

Haylee is a big fan of the Rolling Stones--Have to raise her on the classics! :)

One Month

Sophia Rae is One Month Old! Yea!!

I love this picture, she saying "I'm what? One month already?!"

Sophie was a little stopped up from going from nursing to formula and back to nursing again. So the doctors suggest to help them exercise by moving their legs like on a bike! Weird as it sounds, it actually worked!
Haylee has transitioned from practicing on a bear and doll to the real thing!

Time with Papa & GG

Haylee loves coming to Papa's and GG's

She is especially fond of a tradition that she and Papa started; eating Blueberries!
If he doesn't bring them out on his own, she will remind him! It's good bonding time

Blueberry Face!
