Grammie's Birthday!

To celebrate Grammie's birthday we all got together for

brunch.

Veggie Tales and GG

Haylee was excited, though she didn't really know

what we were talking about.

She watches the Veggie Tales, but the

thought that they could be right in front of her was probably beyond what

she could understand!

She enjoyed the first part of the show, and danced and sang.

However, due to a fever she cashed out during the second part.

And they just happened to sing all the songs that she knew.

OK, as I'm typing this out, she sees the picture and says

"Veggie tales? Veggie Tales?" Then she gets off the bed, and starts dancing saying

"we dance..we dance."

All of that because she recognized herself and the surroundings from the picture above.

How smart is my child?!?!?!

Sophie spent a lot of the show jabbering...so we could assume that she

was trying to sing along!

Haylee has been saying prayers before dinner, and sometimes at bed time (though usually she doesn't say amen because that means it's bed time, so she says instead, "no need nap, no need nap.") This is a rather short one, but it illustrates her desire to thank Jesus for her blessings.

Bears vs Colts Part II

Bears and the Colts played once more. Of course this wasn't the BIG

game, so it wasn't a big deal who won or lost! ;)

Cubs Baseball

Ryan has a lot of great connections because of working at the Cork.

In this case the husband of one of the server's is a MBL baseball scout.

They were going to a Cubs game because their family is best friends

with one of the picthers on the Astros who the Cubs were playing.

Well knowing that Ryan is a huge fan of the cubs they got tickets for him as well.

So I went to my first MBL game!

I decided to bring Sophie with us because we were

going to be gone too long and she doesn't do well with a bottle.

Her hat says Little Cubie Princess! We got it as a present

for Haylee years ago, so it was neat to be able to use it.

Their family is so fun to be around. During dinner they were

telling us so many stories that at one point I was

laughing so hard that I started crying!

Sophie had a good time--one on one attention.

Which is rare for her to get!
