I know like every other parent out there, we feel like we could just run away screaming from the demands of parenting. And though I make jokes about how crazy my kids can be, I also recognize how great my kids really are. It becomes obvious by the comments and actions of the people around us. Our neighbors the McCrays (Andy, Ruthie, Andrew, Chelsea and Cory) for instances, will come and just take our kids to spend time with them. They miss them if they don't see them for a couple of days! Not only is a great break for me, but it shows that our kids bring joy to others. Then recently having to drop them off at a new babysitter and then reconnecting with another babysitter we haven't used since Haylee was an infant, they both stated how "awesome, laid back, flexible, advanced-in haylee's case, and adorable" they are. Certainly we are paying them to watch our kids, but we aren't adding tips for compliments! ;)
It's just a huge blessings to know that our kids are not only well behaved, but loved by the people they interact with. I would love to say it is ALL because of our parenting style, but I must give God His due, as He is the one that has given them their temperament and personality!
This isn't about gloating, instead I feel humbled that I have such great kids and I have the opportunity (though not always voluntarily) to raise them to be great!

Sophie is 2!!!!
Our little girl is 2!!
family was around to celebrate.
Cortney, Matt, Micah & Uncle Colin
Gramie, Papa Mark, and papa Ray
Nikki and Camden made it too!
I showed Nicole this pic on the camera saying I would add it to my blog,
Gramie and Micah
she wasn't too excited about it! ;) I think it's hilarious!! It makes Luke look like
a dotting father and Nicole is so stressed she has taken to the bottle! Poor Camden is oblivious yet blissful!
She confirms that Micah looks just like Ryan!
Finger nail polish lesson
You know the saying "it takes a village to raise a child," well that is something that my street is known for-watching out for each other's kids. But what happens when all the villagers think the children are being watched and leave them to themselves?
This is what happens...
on closer inspection you can see the extent of the lack of supervision!
That is fingernail polish all over their legs and clothes.
According to them, Marybeth got her nail polish then once they were
done painting their nails (although I didn't see much paint on their actual toenails) they started painting their legs, then their face, and hair! Oh yeah, and their bikes got a nice little makeover too!

When Chelsea (our neighbor that watches our girls) and I couldn't get much accomplished
with nail polish remover, the dad's came to the rescue and brought paint-thiner.
Though the girls smelled horrible the paint was all gone.
Well that is except what was in Haylee's hair, we had to cut most of that out!
It's a good thing Sophie was taking a nap, because I could just see how the girls would try to
"paint her nails" too!

Teddy-My first baby
Teddy
Beloved dog, daddy to Airel & Brady (GG's dogs), and boyfriend of Bella & Maddy (he was good with the ladies!)
2001-2010
He was my boyfriend's Paul, but Paul let me take him home nightly.
When Paul and I broke up he let me keep Teddy who I had fallen in love with.
He was my baby! I gave Teddy back to Paul when Haylee was old enough to pull his hair. Though he never bit Haylee he wasn't a fan of being picked on. I knew Teddy would love
being back with Paul who still had Maddy (Teddy's first love and the mother of his first litter!)
Paul would give me updates which I greatly appreciated because though it was the best for him, I still missed him.
Two nights ago Paul called and let me know that Teddy was hit by a car and passed away.
My heart breaks-he was my first dog, he was my first baby.
My mom pointed out that God must have a doggie heaven, because He knows the level of attachment that we have with our pets and how special it would be to spend eternity with them.
So I hope that when the day comes that I meet Jesus that all my pets, like Teddy, are there to greet me too!

Scary Vacuum
This is what happens when I start the vacuum, all my girls jump on the couch and start screaming--well Bella doesn't scream but she does look scared! ;)
Micah the Stud
I found some cute outfits at Wal-mart and they actually fit!
Gramie got him some shoes so I had to take pictures of the whole outfit
Happy Easter
Easter Celebration!
It was a bit of a trial trying to get everyone to have a decent look for a picture.
This first one was the best of all three kids. Since Micah is crying in this one, you have an idea how the other ones turned out! We might try again another time and see if it goes better!

Linnealiz
Rachel, Colin's future wife (July 17th, 2010) has a photography business and
