My Journal

In 2008 I started another blog. I didn't tell anyone about it, I just hoped that the people that stumbled onto it would appreciate the content and see that it truly is my "diary screaming out loud!" I have been writing in journals since middle school. I find it therapeutic and calming. I initially wanted to discuss my faith, where it was in the past and where it is today by accessing my journals. Then I discovered that though I desire others to see what I wrote in hopes that it would help them, my main focus was on passing on my wisdom/mistakes to my kids. My ultimate goal is for my kids to read my journals and have an authentic look into my spiritual, emotional and mental life. I want them to see that a spiritual life is more than going to church on Sundays, it's about a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. This concept is such an individualistic experience but since we are all related as God's children we will have similar themes of struggles and valleys; therefore what a better way to educate my children than by my own experiences.

I have decided to share this site with others as well. I have no desire to offend nor promote discussion. Instead I am being transparent in my identity as a parent, wife, friend, and Christ follower. I don't pretend to have my life in order, nor have any reason to provide any amount of advice; but I do offer comfort from the comfort I have received myself (2 Cor.).

I don't add entries often as I don't seem to have time, or more importantly the energy to go through my old journals that sometimes bring my heart pain. But now that this is public it might prompt me to add more frequently than just once a year! ;)

Most entries are my own journals, prayers, quotes; unless otherwise specified. I have a multitude of books just filled with quotes and Scripture that has inspired and encouraged. I may add them without context in hopes that the encouragement will also find you.

I hope that I don't loose any of my transparency, but please if you leave comments please know that my heart is tender! May you continue to dig deeper into your own relationship with Christ, and may you find comfort, peace, strength, and wisdom along your path!!
