The 12 days of Christmas!

The many days of Christmas 2008!
We had been telling Haylee about the meaning of Christmas for the whole month.
We are still trying to figure out where Santa fits in, and how many presents we will
allow for her to get, etc. There are a lot that I want my children
knowing as they grow up, and making Christmas about
Christ is one of them. However, it is a lot harder than it sounds. Already,
by no action on our part, Haylee already knows about Santa, and that "christmas"
means getting presents. Thankfully, she also know that Christmas is Jesus' birthday! So
I think we are on the right path, but this will be one of many battles parents that desire their
children to be Christ followers will fight!
With that being said, we had a good Christmas. We celebrated with many of our friends
and all of our family. My girls are so blessed to have so many people
that love them. In all my girls had 6 different "christmas'" By day 7, haylee woke up asking,
"we open presents now!" So needless to say Haylee had a great time getting presents!

Haylee helped Daddy put up the christmas tree

I didn't have my camera at Gramie's house, but I did get a picture
of one of the gifts she got--the Baby Alive doll! Let me tell you,
it was like the world stopped! Prior to this nite, when she was asked about what
she wanted for christmas, she would say a baby. This was the first present she
opened, and nothing else mattered! As for the stroller, daddy got her that after she
got the baby so she could walk it around the house!

Christmas at my parents house! Sophie got some toys she could crawl after!

Papa's girls!
Notice the scarf he is wearing--I know amazing, right?!
Name your color and I'll make one for you too!

Sophie had more fun with the paper, of course!

Daddy's girl

GG got Haylee her first real bike!
She was excited! Now she can ride around with the other
kids on the block! Luckily uncle Rory put it together the nite
before!
Norte Dame had their bowl game on Christmas eve, so we dressed up
for the game!

Daddy got her that pen that reads the books for you, she was
very excited!

Sophie is pulling up on everything! She just can't wait to walk.

Ryan has always gotten me jewelry for every holiday, birthday or anniversary.
And though we have been low on funds, I should not have been surprised that he
would not mess up his running streak. This year it was very special, because he got
me the girls birthstones. Pearls for June and Aqua marine for March (the ring).
It was very special to me.
Daddy and the gift he bought himself, computer speakers.
I took his orginal ones for my office.

Sophie got a DVD player...well she will enjoy it one day!

Her big cheese!

Opening presents at Aunt Nikki's and Luke's

Nikki got Haylee her first Barbi.
Because Haylee knows about
the woman's body due to her curiosity of my nursing Sophie;
the first thing she said to me about the Barbi was, "Look she has boobies!"
The McCray family came over to see the girls and give them presents.
Though we only pay Chelsea for babysitting, it really is the whole family who watch them throughout the week! You can tell that the whole family loves the girls! And since they are
our neighbors they get to see each other often!
