Tabitha and I have been friends for over 7 years. We met while volunteering for a Homeless Shelter in West Lafayette, IN. God brought us together and I truly believe that we are connected on a level unlike any other I have experienced. It's funny because we can sense when things are going on in each other's lives without even speaking. That's why the distance between us physically has never affected our relationship. She lives in Louisiana.
Ok, the real story is I couldn't go without her. I knew it would be tough, but by 1:30am I had been crying so hard that I thought there is no way I could handle being away from her that long. So at 2:00am I went to the friend's house that was going to be watching her and picked her up. I knew I would miss Haylee but not in the same way. I'm still nursing and Sophie is only 2 months, so the attachment is so much stronger right now. Ryan wasn't exactly excited about it, but found that she did very well on the trip, and it turned out to be a really good time for both Ryan and I.
Ryan and I made the trip down south to celebrate with Tab and her husband Cort. They did the same thing Ryan and I did, had a private ceremony for the wedding, and then a big reception later on for everyone. It was so great to see Tabitha and finally meet Cort who I have heard about for years.
Jake and Pearl
Tabitha's parents are the only people I personally know that have Bulldogs. I love this breed, and though I had yet to meet these two, I fell in love with them just like I did with her previous bulldogs.
Cort admits he really doesn't know what to do with babies. When they get older he claims he has a better handle on it, so in his attempt to connect with Soph he talked with her. Though she didn't have a clue what he was saying, she seemed excited, smiling and kicking her legs!
